Halloween costumes have become a big deal in our household. Our daughter will start coming up with ideas and costumes she will consider wearing several months prior to Halloween. She will start designing sketches of how she would like her outfit and her hair and make-up to look. My husband and I do our best to make her vision come to life. This year, due to James learning to speak spanish, Alayna wanted to go with a “Day of the Dead” theme. She will not break character for the hours we spend trick-or-treating. She cracks us up and we love her so!

We decided to start sharing this special holiday with our client family of Parfait Mischen and host our first ever “Puppy Halloween Costume Contest” this year! We invited all our of our past families to participate by sharing pictures of their puppies (grown-up or still little) on Halloween with the first place winning a prize! It was wonderful seeing some of our puppies again! So without further ado, here is our first place winner and honorable mentions!

Lucy and her owner Mary were chosen as our first place winners of our competition. They went with a Little Mermaid kitchen theme that we thought was absolutely precious!

Here are our honorable mentions. We loved how perfect Waffles expression matched her bandana! Our daughter loved Dudley’s costume. All these submissions brought us a great amount of joy!

Last but not least in our competition is our sweet girl, Gidget. She donned an adorable cape and cap to wear around the shop while customers came to pick up their holiday orders.

We enjoyed hosting this competition and are already looking forward to seeing what Alayna and our families of Parfait Mischen will come up with next year. Enjoy these last few days of fall and have a wonderful week ahead.
