Old Salem is one of the many wonderful places in North Carolina that transports you back in time.

I love living in North Carolina! Growing up we lived in the mid-west, on the west coast, on the east coast, visited up north, and the deep south. No state in my opinion can hold a candle to North Carolina. She has southern charm and a rich history. She has the beautiful Blue Ridge for those who love to hike and the vast Outer Banks to soak up loads of sun. History was one of my favorite subjects in school, and Old Salem is a wonderful place to go and see a village frozen in time.

I decided it was time to take some updated portraits of Misty’s sweet babies, so we loaded up Jackie (my Jeep) and headed to Winston-Salem. It was a win-win in my opinion because the puppies were exposed to a new location, they clocked in several hours of road time, and it was a quiet and tranquil place to take their portraits.

The puppies have begun to walk on the leash and almost have the command “sit” down. We have been working with them often and have continued to work on impulse control. Their personalities bring a constant wave of entertainment at our house! Although they have grown a great deal since they turned 10 weeks old, they still love spending time with their mommy.

Old Salem was practically deserted while we were there, which made our session time much more enjoyable! We were able to spend quality time one-on-one with each of them. We are already looking forward to our next outing with these fluffy doodles!
